The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Pony picks:

Friday's best pony bets

My rules: one horse to show, no favorites.

Results: -68% ROI, Avg Finish: 4.8, Avg Choice: 4. Avg Odds: 9.68

You know you’re running bad when your ML third choice goes to favorite and runs up the track in fifth. But, we still have two tracks with two playable speed angles and in the long run we should be OK.

Santa Anita Race Race 7

The problem with Santa Anita’s dirt is that everyone’s form is off the polytrack and trying to find the right horse can be tricky. I would guess that’s why the dirt horse Uh Oh Bango is your morning line favorite. It’s just an easy call.

However, there are some other horses to look at because Uh Oh isn’t the fastest amongst he bunch here. I’m going with Sky Cape, who has a second to Aggie Engineer in his PP’s and who also has a nice work out line going. I don’t like the rail, but Bejarano will put this horse in the best spot.

Aqueduct Race 8

Here we have the first two favorites doing something they haven’t done before in a stakes race of all places.

So while Ava K has every reason to improve going two turns, being a daughter of Dixie Union, let me go with something a bit more proven. I’m going with the rail again and Queen’s Harbor a quick filly coming off a bit of a break, and hoping she doesn’t get pushed too hard.

Ice picks:

Friday's best NHL bets

Anaheim Ducks at Colorado Avalanche (+110, 5.5)

When Anaheim has its top line of Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf and Bobby Ryan rolling, there aren’t many teams in the NHL that can match their firepower.

The trio combined for eight points and finished plus-10 in a 5-2 win over the New York Rangers on Wednesday, the team’s fourth win in its last five games.

Anaheim needs to keep putting solid stretches of wins together to keep pace in the Western Conference, but the Colorado Avalanche are in freefall after a good start to the season.

Colorado is just 1-13-2 since the All-Star break.

"We're not trying to tank to get a top-five pick," Avalanche center Matt Duchene told reporters. "We already have a lot of great prospects in the system. Wherever we pick we're going to get a good player, but that's not on our mind right now. We just want to win."

That’s going to be a lot to ask of the Avalanche against Anaheim.

Pick: Anaheim

Edmonton Oilers at Detroit Red Wings (-285, 5.5)

You don’t see the Detroit Red Wings suffer through a four-game losing streak very often and they have a great chance to end their current skid against the Oilers in this spot.

Detroit was better in its latest loss, a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Kings, and coach Mike Babcock is trying to stay positive during this slump.

"It was a tight game, we had every opportunity to win the game, we didn't find a way," Babcock told reporters. "We've just got to keep playing like that and starting like we did and getting pucks ahead and shooting pucks and going to the net."

They shouldn’t have any problems doing that against the Oilers. Detroit has scored 11 times over its last two meetings with Edmonton and has managed at least 30 shots on goal in its last 10 games against the Oilers.

At this price, your best bet is the over.

Pick: Over

Pick 'n' roll:

Friday's best basketball bets

Orlando Magic at Golden State Warriors (4.5, 207.5)

The Orlando Magic snapped a two-game losing streak by slipping by Sacramento on Wednesday with Dwight Howard back in the lineup after he served a one-game suspension.

But they weren’t happy about it.

Orlando had to hold on when Howard fouled out late in the game and the 106-102 victory as a 10-point favorite was far from impressive.

"We didn't play well," point guard Jameer Nelson told reporters. "If we think it's OK, it's not. We have to change what we do. It's not on anybody but us. It's not on offense; it's on defense. We can't flip the switch for the playoffs. We're not good enough."

Nelson has a point, but we like Orlando at this number on Friday. The Magic head into this matchup having won five straight games against the Warriors, who have only two wins in their last nine games.

Pick: Orlando

Friday's best basketball bets

Illinois Fighting Illini at Michigan Wolverines (3, 126)

The Illini and Wolverines are both on the NCAA bubble and looking for a big victory Friday so they can breathe a little easier.

The young Wolverines have been one of the nation’s best betting teams at 18-8 against the number this year and battled it out in a 54-52 loss against Illinois as a 9.5-underdog on Feb. 16.

"They got work to do," Illinois center Mike Tisdale told reporters of the Wolverines. "It's not going to be easy for any of us. They're not going to come in and lay down. I would like to say we are [in the tournament,] but we do have work to do. We're not going to lie down. We're going to play, and we're going to play to win."

It’s hard to ignore that the Wolverines have dropped just one game against the spread over their last 11 and you have to like the way Tim Hardaway Jr. is playing lately. He’s putting up 22 points over the last four games and we think he could lead the club to a mild upset here.

Ohio State 65 - Northwestern 55—Northwestern forced top-ranked Ohio
State into a tense, grind-it-out game in their first meeting Jan. 29, with the
Buckeyes needing a late steal by David Lighty and a FT by frosh star Jared
Sullinger to escape Evanston with a 58-57 victory. Wildcat F John Shurna did
not play in that game, but NW was able to effectively swarm the powerful 6-9,
280 Sullinger, “limiting” him to 21 points at 8 rebounds. The Wildcats hit 10 of
30 triples against the stronger Buckeyes. Shurna (1 for 5, only 2 points in the
Wildcats’ opening-round tourney victory over Minnesota) is still laboring on a
sore ankle. However, sr. G Michael “Juice” Thompson is peaking, tallying a Big
Ten Tourney-record 35 points vs. the Gophers. Thompson will find the going
tougher vs. talented OSU. But well-coached NW continues to dream the
impossible dream, as the Wildcats (18-12) have never made it to the NCAA
Tourney field. 10-Osu -10' 58-57; 09-OSU -11' 76-56 TV-ESPN

Michigan 62 - Illinois 60—Both teams go into this important contest at 19-
12, seeking to improve their NCAA Tourney profile. Illinois squeezed out a
54-52 victory Feb. 16 in Champaign-Urbana, but the young Wolverines seemed
to improve as the game progressed, trailing by 10 at the half. UM hit only 2 of
18 triples in that contest. Now, Michigan goes into this encounter with a 10-1
spread mark its last 11 games (7-0 as a dog). The Wolverines’ young, tall
backcourt of 6-4 soph Darius Morris (15.1 ppg, 6.8 apg) and 6-5 frosh Tim
Hardaway Jr. (13.8 ppg; 37% treys) is improved since that game, as is 6-8, 240
RS soph Jordan Morgan (13 ppg his last 7). The Illini, while defensively sound,
have been haunted by scoring droughts much of the season. Another such
occurrence might doom them in this one. 10-ILL -9' 54-52; 09-Ill +3 51-44 TVESPN

PURDUE 67 - Michigan State 58—Purdue swept both regular-season
meetings TY (by a total of 30 points, including recent 67-47 domination on Feb.
27 ) vs. the Spartans, who hardly looked like the team that made it to the NCAA
Semifinals last season. It’s hard to envision Michigan State—even despite its
double-revenge motive—turning the tables on solid Purdue, which is playing in
its home state and which boasts two of the top players in the Big Ten in Player
of the Year C JuJuan Johnson (20.5 ppg, 8.1 rpg) and G E’Twaun Moore (18.3
& 5.2). Much of the Spartans’ edge in motivation went out the window when the
proud Boilermakers suffered a regular-season-ending loss at Iowa, and didn’t
look very good in doing it. MSU’s frequent scoring droughts almost caught up
with them in Thursday’s quarterfinals, when pesky, 10th-place Iowa gave the
Spartans all they could handle. MSU now only 11-19 vs. the spread this season.
10-PUR -6 86-76, Pur +1 67-47; 09-Pur +2' 76-64, Msu +4 53-44

Gold Sheet

ATLANTIC 10 CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT
Top 12 teams compete. Top 4 seeds earn a bye. First round March 8 with
#8 vs. #9, #5 vs. #12, #7 vs. #10, and #6 vs. #11 at home of higher seed.
Quarterfinals March 11 with #1 vs. #8-#9 winner, #4 vs. #5-#12 winner, #2 vs.
#7-#10 winner, and #3 vs. #6-#11 winner. Semifinals March 12. Final March 13.
All games after first round at Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City, New Jersey. LY’s
WINNER: Temple -4 beat Richmond 56-52.
Friday’s quarterfinal matchups:
Xavier 68 - Dayton 66—In this battle pitting rivaling southwest Ohio private
schools (separated by just a one-hour drive), prefer to “take” with veteran
Dayton, which has played hated Xavier tooth and nail in the last 3 meetings (lost
by 5 & 4 pts. in this season’s games), including 78-73 loss in second round of
A-10 tourney LY. The veteran Flyers own the depth and athleticism to bother
the Muskies, who are down to 8 scholarship players due to injuries. UD’s
poised, cat-quick, 6-0 frosh PG Juwan Staten (9 ppg, 6 apg) is not outclassed
by the Muskies’ marvelous jr. PG Tu Holloway (20 ppg, 6 apg), while 6-8 sr. F
Chris Wright (13 ppg, 8 rpg) and 6-6 jr. F Chris Johnson (12 ppg, 6 rpg) can hold
their own on the boards with the XU “bigs.” And, with the Flyers’ sharp-shooting
6-9 jr. F Luke Fabrizius (13 pts. in 78-50 romp at UMass in first round) providing
a spark off the bench, Brian Gregory’s crew gives the rival Muskies fits for the
fourth straight time. Note, UD is 6-1 its last 7 as a 6-pt. or more underdog. 10-
XAV -6' 81-76, Xav -2' 66-62; 09-XAV -6 78-74, DAY -3 90-65, Xav -3' 78-73
(CT-neut.)

Duquesne 64 - St. Joseph’s 58—Since frosh-laden St. Joe’s (7-3 vs.
spread last 10) has shown a noticeable growth spurt with its improved play since
early February, recommend taking roomy number vs. sagging Duquesne squad
(has dropped 4 of its last 5) that hasn’t been able to execute at the same
championship-type level it displayed during its earlier 11-game win skein in
January. The Hawks’ blossoming frosh duo of 6-3 frosh G Langston (13 ppg, 5
rpg, 3 apg; 8 games of 20+ pts.) & skinny 6-9, 185-lb F C. J. Aiken (11 ppg & 6
rpg last 4; 11 pts. & 5 blocks in OT win at George Washington in first round on
Tuesday) have become a potent outside-inside duo, while smooth 6-0 soph G
Carl Jones (17 ppg, 3 apg) is capable of breaking down the Dukes’ presses and
scoring from 3-point range. Philly sources report that Hawks’ often-tortured
long-time mentor Phil Martelli has had his squad seriously slow the pace and be
more methodical on the attack end over the last few games, so expect the gogo
Dukes to have some difficulty quickening the tempo without much energizing
fan support in New Jersey. Keep in mind, SJ is 5-1 as a DD dog TY, while DU
is just 1-7 vs. spread last 8. 10-Duq -5 75-63; 09-DUQ -7 74-71

Temple 81 - La Salle 67—Although Temple has punched a ticket to the Big
Dance, still prefer to lay reasonable number with surging Owl squad (11-1 SU
last 12, only loss at Duke!), which is gunning for its fourth straight A-10 tourney
title. Temple has captured 7 of its past 8 vs. Big 5 cross-town rival La Salle. The
defensively-stout Owls (61 ppg) figure to tighten up on the stop end after yielding
an uncharacteristically-high 82 points in their 8-pt. home series victory on March.
5, when the Explorers hit 56% from the field and 50% from the arc (8 of 16). Philly
sources report that the Owls’ integral 6-6 jr. F Scootie Randall (12 ppg; tough
wing defender) might try to give it a go after missing the previous 5 games with
a foot injury. But even if he isn’t a factor, Temple owns sufficient firepower,
unselfishness (16 apg), and scoring balance (5 avg. between 9 and 15 ppg) to
extend the margin vs. defenseless La Salle quintet (yielding a conference-worst
79 ppg). Be mindful that Fran Dumphy’s road-tested bunch (6-2 as away chalk
TY) is an eye-popping 8-0-1 vs. the spread in the tourney while garnering those
last A-10 tourney crowns. 10-Tem -9' 71-67, TEM -14 90-82; 09-TEM -11' 64-
52, Tem -7' 65-53

★★★Richmond 82 - Rhode Island 66—Bubble-riding Richmond is hellbent
to stay on the right side of the NCAA cut line, with an early loss at Atlantic
City inviting bubble trouble. Therefore, won’t hesitate to lay several hoops with
the revenge-minded Spiders, who haven’t forgotten their 78-74 home upset loss
vs. RI on Jan.13. The Rams managed to nail 12 of 27 (44%) from the 3-point
line in that stunner. But there’s a good chance the defensively-stingy Spiders
(62 ppg; 30% from arc) effectively extend their 2-3 matchup zones in the
rematch, if necessary. Meanwhile, foresee UR’s first-team all-league
performers, 6-0 sr. G Kevin Anderson (16 ppg) and 6-10 sr. F Justin Harper (18
ppg, 7 rpg)—who combined for 45 in the first tilt—to score freely again vs. the defensively-inviting Rams (71 ppg away), while highly-regarded 6-0 frosh G
Cedrick Lindsay (11 pts.& 3 assists in 22 mins.) provides a Spider lift off the
bench, as he did in 68-56 home victory vs. Duquesne on March. 5. It’s worth
noting that Chris Mooney’s senior-laden, sharp-shooting (41% from arc—7th
nationally) aggregate has won by 6 pts. or more in 23 of its 24 triumphs TY. 10

Mississippi State 75-74 in OT.
Friday’s only known quarterfinal matchups as we went to press:
GEORIGA 63 - Alabama 58—Our buddy Joe Lunardi from ESPN believes
this is a play-in game for a Big Dance Tourney berth, although we suspect there
will be room in the field of 68 for both these teams, regardless of what happens
here. Nonetheless, both likely to approach this one in do-or-die terms. We do
admit that defense-conscious Bama might be in more bubble trouble should it
lose, and it won’t be easy for the Tide to beat Georgia for a second time in less
than a week after last Saturday’s 65-57 win at Tuscaloosa (where Anthony
Grant's team didn't lose SU this campaign). Although Bama was only outscored
once in the paint all season, its perimeter shooting has often left much to be
desired, and not sure that G Charvez Davis can connect on another five triples
to save Bama as he did last week at Coleman Coliseum (when no other Tide
player connected on a 3). Slight preference for more-explosive Dawg
weaponry, featuring highlight-reel G Travis Leslie (14.3 ppg) and 6-10 Trey
Thompkins, who appeared to be beyond his recent toe and shin problems when
scoring 22 in Georgia’s first-round romp past usually-sticky Auburn. 10-ALA -
4' 65-57; 09-GA -2' 76-70

Kentucky 73 - Mississippi 70—We need a bit more evidence than last
week’s win at erratic Tennessee to suggest that John Calipari’s youthful
Kentucky (just 2-6 SU and vs. the points vs. SEC foes away from Rupp Arena
this season) is about to extend the margin away from Lexington against any
capable foe, of which Ole Miss should qualify. After all, the Rebels reached the
20-win plateau in Thursday’s cruise past South Carolina in the first round of this
event in Atlanta. And don’t forget that Andy Kennedy’s team was one of those
SEC home teams that bounced the Cats earlier this season in its 71-69 win back
on Feb. 1, when sr. G Chris Warren’s 3-point bomb with 2.9 seconds left gave
Rebs the win. The senior backcourt combo of the cat-quick Warren (18.9 ppg;
scored 20 in Thursday’s win over the Gamecocks) and 6-6 matchup nightmare
Zach Graham (14.4 ppg) will put extra defensive pressure on Coach Cal’s young
Gs and keep this one very interesting. 10-MISS +6' 71-69; 09-KY -11 85-75
